Sunlord MCL2012A is a multilayer chip power inductor from the MCL-A series in 0805 (2.0×1.25×0.85mm). A monolithic construction with magnetic shielding and improved magnetic material delivers higher DC-bias current and lower DCR with no cross-coupling, keeping 1.0μH~10μH operation stable from -40°C~+125°C in smartphone, mobile-PC, wearable and security DC-DC rails.

Q: Why choose a multilayer (monolithic) power inductor over wire-wound?
A: Multilayer parts are smaller and cheaper for the same inductance, and the built-in magnetic shield keeps flux leakage low — ideal for dense portable designs. Wire-wound types win when very high saturation current is required.
Q: Does MCL2012A couple to nearby components?
A: No. The shielded monolithic structure contains the magnetic flux inside the body, so cross-coupling to adjacent inductors, filters or antennas is minimised.
