YQM Goes Global: EMAX Asia 2026 in Penang, Malaysia

From July 22 to 24, 2026, YQM Electronics made its mark at EMAX Asia 2026 — the premier electronic manufacturing and semiconductor technology exhibition held at the Setia SPICE Arena in Penang, Malaysia. As one of the few Chinese electronic component distributors exhibiting at this key ASEAN event, our presence on the show floor signals a clear strategic message: YQM overseas expansion is accelerating — and Southeast Asia is at the center of that roadmap.

Why Penang? The 'Silicon Valley of the East' Matters for Electronic Components

Penang is far more than a scenic Malaysian island — it is a global semiconductor powerhouse that accounts for 13% of worldwide semiconductor packaging and testing output. Over 50 multinational corporations — including Intel, AMD, Micron, Infineon, and Broadcom — operate major manufacturing facilities here. The Malaysian government has further committed USD 5.3 billion in subsidies under the National Semiconductor Strategy (NSS), targeting USD 106 billion in total sector investment by 2030.

For YQM, exhibiting at EMAX Penang is a direct line into this ecosystem. Every chip fabricated and packaged in Penang creates demand for the components we supply — crystals, oscillators, connectors, sensors, IMUs, RTCs, and power modules. Being physically present at the exhibition allows us to meet OEMs, EMS providers, and procurement teams where they operate, understand their sourcing pain points firsthand, and offer immediate, competitive alternatives.

What YQM Brought to EMAX 2026

At our booth, visitors experienced firsthand the depth and breadth of YQM component portfolio:

  • Frequency Control: Epson, YXC, and SiTime crystals and oscillators — from standard MHz SMD to ultra-low-jitter differential MEMS for 800G/1.6T optical modules.
  • Sensors & IMUs: Epson QMEMS gyroscopes and 6-DoF IMUs for UAV, robotics, and industrial AHRS applications.
  • Power Semiconductors: NCE and Jinlan IGBT modules, SiC IPMs, and power discretes — including GB 14287.7-compliant modules for electrical fire protection.
  • RTCs & Timing: Epson RX8900SA, RA4803SA, and RX-8581SA real-time clock modules for industrial and IoT applications.
  • Connectors: YXC FPC/FFC connectors with 0.5mm pitch for compact consumer, wearable, and industrial designs.

Beyond the Booth: Building an APAC Supply Bridge

The conversations at EMAX 2026 confirmed a clear industry trend: post-pandemic supply chain diversification is no longer optional — it is boardroom-level strategy. ASEAN-based manufacturers are actively seeking alternative component sources that combine competitive pricing with reliable lead times and technical support. YQM multi-brand distribution model — spanning Japanese precision (Epson), Chinese innovation (YXC, NCE, Jinlan), and American MEMS technology (SiTime) — positions us uniquely to serve as a one-stop bridge between Asian component supply and global electronics manufacturing.

Our participation at EMAX 2026 is not a one-off event — it is the beginning of a sustained APAC engagement strategy. We are actively building local partnerships, expanding warehouse coverage, and strengthening FAE support to serve customers across Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia with the same responsiveness and technical depth our Chinese customers have relied on for years.
